Here’s how I did it…

When I graduated from High School I was an inexperienced 18 year old longing to dodge university by joining the work force. For many people in this position, it seems like a dream to achieve this goal with utmost success.

I took a shot in the dark and applied for Webprofits through Seek. Looking at the number of applicants lowered my morale, as it was over 200.

I said to myself, yeah, no way.

You’re an 18 year old who just graduated high school, you need to stand out..

Heres here proactiveness came in:

I didn’t stop at applying on Seek. I done a bit of research on the staff of Webprofits, the workplace that stood out to me. I reached out to one of them on Linkedin and he was awesome enough to send me his email. I then wrote up a whole email stating why I am a great fit. As a result, I landed a job as an intern and I am now a Consultant.

The craziest part was, I was actually hesitating to message.

Imagine If I didnt?

Now Im here, working with awesome people at a job I love!
